Yuki Brandt

Berlin, Germany

Yuki Brandt is a contemporary artist whose practice explores landscape and movement. After studying fine arts and working for several years in shared studios, Yuki developed a personal language built on careful observation and repeated studies. The work has been shown in group exhibitions and open studios, and is part of private collections. Yuki currently lives and works in a port city, dividing time between painting, drawing and small editions. This profile is demo content for the staging environment and does not describe a real person.

My work starts from silence and space. I am interested in what remains when an image is simplified until only its essential structure is left. I usually begin with quick sketches made on site, then return to the studio to build layers slowly, letting each one react to the previous. Colour is never decided in advance; it emerges from the process and from the material itself. I want the viewer to slow down, to spend time with the surface and to find their own way into the piece. Each series is a conversation with the one before it, and none of them is meant to be the last word. (Demo statement for staging.)
